At Food for Life, our mission is to provide nutritious and delicious meals to those in need, regardless of their circumstances. Believing that everyone deserves access to healthy food, we strive to alleviate hunger and promote well-being in our community. Our dedicated volunteers work tirelessly to prepare and distribute meals to those who may otherwise go without. We are committed to making a positive impact and creating a healthier, more cohesive community through the power of food.
SERVICES
FOOD FOR LIFE HUB
Free meals available to individuals and families on a low income, facing a financial crisis, asylum seekers and refugees, the homeless, and anyone else struggling to access fresh, healthy food.
FREE MEAL VOUCHERS
Vouchers are a tool for organisations to make referrals to our Food For Life Hub. This provision has helped reduce the stigma around receiving assistance, promoting a more inclusive and supportive environment.
ORGANISATION
DELIVERIES
Understanding the importance of giving back to the community, we are working in partnership with other local organisations to ensure we reach as many people as we can. Contact us to receive deliveries to your organisation.
COOKING CLASSES
Plant-based cooking classes offered to local organisations working with vulnerable groups. Dedicated to promoting healthy, sustainable eating habits, our classes are the perfect foundation for affordable living.
CATERING
Our catering service not only provides delicious food but also supports our charity's mission. By choosing our catering service for your next event, you'll be contributing to a great cause and enjoying a delicious meal at the same time.
COVID-19 RESPONSE
In March 2020, Food For Life sprung into action and began distributing hot, nutritious meals to those who were isolated and vulnerable. Throughout the lockdown, we distributed over 150,000 meals through our home deliveries. Initially starting in our local area including Butetown, Grangetown and Cardiff Bay, the service rapidly expanded to cover all of Cardiff, Rhondda, Caerphilly, Barry, Swansea and parts of Newport.
